CREATING SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL SUCCESSES
Presented by: Kim Woehl

Explore co-regulation and how to support children in learning regulation skills in this web-based training. Learn how to support the child who is challenged in the childcare setting while also supporting the other children. This course promotes positive, supportive interactions between ALL children and their caregivers.

ART: WHY DOES IT MATTER & HOW TO CREATE DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE ACTIVITIES
Presented by: Cindy Goldade

Art is a developmental pathway for self-expression and cultural exploration. Learn how to create specific activities for success across the ages. Make cross-disciplinary connections to literacy, math, science, music, movement and more. Art appreciation using Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) will be introduced. This course is based on Montessori’s educational methods, including multi-sensory exploration and a process-oriented approach. Online format utilizes pictures as well as showing art materials and art samples while inviting collaboration among participants.

NATURE BASED LEARNING: BLENDING EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION INSIDE, OUTSIDE AND BEYOND

Incorporate nature-based play in your everyday practices. Provide an exciting opportunity for children to grow in child development by extending their learning in natural outdoor experiences. Discover how to blend early childhood education and environmental education. Discuss the nature-based approach and various opportunities at different levels of participation in establishing a nature-based early education program.
