ACTIVE SUPERVISION: CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS Presented by: Kim Woehl
This training curriculum will address best practices of active supervision in a
family child care setting. This training curriculum will identify MN Rule 2
Licensing standards, National Association of Family Child Care standards, and
best practices regarding supervision in inclusive family child care settings
examine and address supervision challenges experienced in an inclusive family
child care program examine and address chronic illness in an inclusive family
child care program. This training meets the Family Child Care provider annual supervision training requirement. Limit 30 participants

LEARNING CENTERS - WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE IN FAMILY CHILDCARE Presented by: Samanatha Chukuske
Explore the importance of learning centers for an in-home family child care
environment. Participants will learn how to organize their home for different
learning centers. These learning centers will allow children to learn by playing and
to guide them in all the ECIP domains without adult instruction. Participants will

LACING TRACING AND ERASING: FINE MOTOR SKILL DEVELOPMENT IN EARLY CHILDHOOD Presented by: Gabby Stroad
Support children's fine motor skill development by applying current best practices and research-based practices. Explore how to select materials in nature and more that support the development of eye-had coordination, hand strength, and dexterity across children from birth to preschool age. Identify signs of readiness to engage in self-help skills in collaboration with staff and families along with how to discuss developmental alerts . Identify and practice how to best interact with, create environments for, and individualize supports to maximize children's fine motor skill development in your program. Limit 30 participants
